The journal is published in accordance with the decision Of the Bureau of IPA EurAsEC dated May 30, 2007. The journal was registered with the Federal service for supervision of mass communications, communications and protection of cultural heritage of the Russian Federation (Certificate of registration of the media PI № FS 77-30818 of 27.12.2007).
The founders were the Secretariat of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Eurasian economic community, the North-Western Academy of public administration and the St. Petersburg Institute of foreign economic relations, Economics and law. The chief editor was appointed Klimov S. M. D., Professor, rector of the St. Petersburg Institute of foreign economic relations, Economics and law.
By decision of the Presidium of the Ministry of education and science of 19.02.2010 № 6/6 the journal was included in the List of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications.
June 26, 2012 editor-in-Chief of the journal has been approved Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, academician Glazyev S. Yu.
In connection with the termination of the Eurasian economic community from January 1, 2015, the interstate Council of EurAsEC at the level of Heads of state "proposed to the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS member States to continue work on the publication of the international scientific and analytical journal "Eurasian integration: economy, law, policy" established by the Interparliamentary Assembly of EurAsEC" (Decision of the Interstate Council of EurAsEC No. 653 of 10.10.2014, item No. 9).
The journal received a Certificate of registration of the media (PI №FS77-605/605 30.12.2014) in the Federal service for supervision of communications, information technology and mass communications of the Russian Federation (Roskomnadzor).
The founders were the Secretariat of the inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Eurasian economic community, the Secretariat of the Council of the inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Russian Academy of national economy and public administration under the President of the Russian Federation, the St. Petersburg Institute of foreign economic relations, Economics and law. The matter was agreed upon with the rector of Ranepa Vladimir Mau.
From 2008 to 2014, 16 issues of the journal were published. In 2015, the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council issued 2 issues of the journal. In 2016-17, the North-Western Institute of management of the Russian presidential Academy of national economy and public administration issued 4 more issues of the journal.
According to the decision of the Board of founders of the journal "Eurasian integration: Economics, law, politics" Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration remains the sole founder of the journal, as the Secretariat of the Council of IPA CIS withdrew from the founders due to the negative position in relation to the Eurasian integration of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, and the St. Petersburg Institute of foreign economic relations, Economics and law – due to financial difficulties.
A new composition of the Editorial Board and the Editorial Board of the journal was formed.
On March 23, 2016, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, academician of RAS S. Glazyev confirmed his participation as editor-in-Chief of the journal "Eurasian integration: Economics, law, politics".
May 25, 2018 in the record of registration of mass media as amended by the Federal service for supervision in the sphere of Telecom, information technologies and mass communications of the Russian Federation (Roskomnadzor) in connection with the change of founders, change of language, refinement of the subject – the registration number PI №FS77-72803.
